Recording

I have recorded in many different situations.

The most exciting and challenging thing about recording is giving the composer or the director what they want. To me, recording is great fun because there's that intense 30 seconds to 2 1/2 minutes and then there's a break. In that short amount of time, everything just gets put aside except for playing. So it's always a thrill to be "on" just for that minute. I bring good sight-reading, improvisation, solid intonation and rhythmic understanding to recording sessions."

Ellen is available for recordings of all genres, and has recorded in many different situations, from experimental improvisation to classical flute and piano, to works with choir and movies. Ellen plays flute, piccolo, alto flute, some ethnic flutes and is comfortable with polyrhythms and odd meters.
